Q. What’s it all about?

Q. What would it cost?
Nothing it complete free. We would provide you with tables, chairs and display boards if needed.

Q. How do I book?
Simply drop us a email telling us who you are, a link to your website (if you have one) or send us some information about yourselves. It would also be useful if you could indicate what dates you are interested in as well.

Guest slots are available on Tuesday to Saturday each week from 10 am – 5 pm

Emmaus Colchester celebrate second birthday in style
18/08/2010 13:04:07
Guests braved variable weather earlier this month to help Emmaus Colchester celebrate the second anniversary of opening as a Community. They were taken on a tour of the Community House, shop and warehouse and were joined by Companions at a buffet lunch.
Terry Waite, in his capacity as President of Emmaus, spoke about the work of Emmaus and presented certificates to Companions who have gained qualifications.
The event helped raise awareness of the work that Emmaus Colchester does in the local community, providing a home and work for previously homeless and unemployed people who collect and sell donated household goods.
Speaking to BBC Essex, Terry Waite was passionate about his support for Emmaus; "Emmaus does not patronise homeless people. It requires that all those who enter an Emmaus Community must leave State support behind and work according to their capacity. Emmaus was founded over 60 years ago in France and is well tried and tested. It enables people to get back on their feet and regain their dignity as human beings."
