Thanks

Thank you Companions

As always, an extra special thank you to all the Companions at Emmaus Brighton & Hove for their input into the day to day activities connected to the Community and creating a very special place called home.

Thank you Linda for all you have done for us. We shall miss you very much.

A big thank you to….
Vince, a face many of you have grown to know over the last nine and half years, has officially ‘retired’ from the work of the Community. Vince will be staying on in the Community but will take a well earned rest from the shop. He has contributed so much to the Community – been an absolute star in the shop and transport team over the years and has made so many people feel welcome, not only customers and visitors to the shop but also new Companions who have joined the Community. Here’s wishing Vince a very happy retirement. With love and thanks from all your friends in the Community.

Thank you to Maureen H. and her merry band of volunteers who once again held a coffee morning in April in aid of Emmaus at Shoreham Methodist Church. This helps to spread the word about Emmaus while providing the Saturday morning shoppers of Shoreham with a lovely cup of coffee, a friendly chat and the chance of a bargain or two on the bric-a-brac stall.

To all the lovely  Goodwill co-op volunteers for all thier creativity.

To Pat, Danny and Barry for all thier hard work keeping the garden centre stocked up all year round.

A huge thank you….
Emmaus would like to take this opportunity to thank all our kind friends who have given us donations to enable us to finish many projects around the site.

Thank you to the ‘Anonymous Trust’ for their generous donation which has helped us to rebuild the flint wall on the north-east side of our grounds.

Thank you to our friends at ‘The Besom Trust’ For our new washing machine

Thank you to the  ‘Quaker Housing Trust’ for our new bathrooms in the Drove

A huge thank you to the 2 donors who enabled us to redecorate the Manor office staircase, hallway and communal spaces at the end of last year. One anonymous donor very kindly gave us £2,000. St James’ Place, who are based in London, contributed £1,000 towards the work. This work has really made a tremendous difference to the beautiful hallway and main entrance in the original Manor house now used by our office tenants. We are grateful to both donors for their generosity and support.

Thank you to Waitrose and their customers chose Emmaus Brighton & Hove as one of their three charities of the month for 2010. Thank you to Waitrose.

Thank you to the staff and customers at the Robin Hood pub for thier donation of £500
