2. BusWe are on the no.1 (or 1A) bus route from Brighton to Mile Oak – ask to get off at St Nicolas Church in Portslade Old Village, and follow signs to Emmaus.
The bus takes about 25 minutes from Churchill Square in Brighton to Portslade Old Village.

Emmaus is about 100 metres away. Walk up Manor Road (past the tree in the middle of the road), take first left, also called Manor Road, and enter the Emmaus gardens through the wrought-iron gates (to the right of the picture below). The chapel shop is on your right. You can enter this way during opening hours or walk around the outside of the house (to the left of the picture below) through the gardens until you come to the car park, café and shop. Top of Page
Take the coach to Brighton 'Pool Valley Coach Station'.

Walk up to Churchill Square (on Western Road, west of the clock tower) bus stop 'C', & get bus number 1 (every 7 minutes) to Mile Oak. Get off at St Nicolas Church, Portslade Old Village (as above – see ‘bus’) Top of Page

1) Train to Portslade Station (fast direct service from London Victoria via Gatwick and Hove - this train does not stop at Brighton. After Portslade it continues to Worthing.)
2) Train to Brighton Station, then change train to Portslade and proceed as above from Portslade station.

We are in Portslade Old Village north of the Old Shoreham Road A270. Turn north up Locks Hill at the traffic lights at Tates car showroom. Take first right into Manor Road, then first left – also called Manor Road. At the end, on the left, are the gates to our ‘goods in’ entrance. There are clear signs. If you are delivering donated goods to us, park in Manor Road beside the gates, ring the bell and we will come out to help you during opening hours - Tuesday to Saturday 10 to 4.30.
If you are visiting our shop, café or Community, continue past the ‘goods entrance’ & turn left at the end of Manor Road into Drove Road. Emmaus is clearly signed a short way down on the left. Drive through the gates to the car park.

a) From north take M23, then A23 towards Brighton. Before Brighton take A27 marked Worthing. Leave A27 on the A293 Hangleton Interchange marked ‘non-motorway traffic’ Shoreham & Portslade A270.
Follow this link road A293 to the first roundabout where you then turn right up Fox Way.
Along Fox Way take 3rd road on left which is a sharp turn at the brow of the hill into Foredown Road.
Along Foredown Road take 3rd turning on right which is a T-junction right into Foredown Road. Follow Foredown Road down and it becomes Drove Road. If you are visiting our shop, café or Community, Emmaus is clearly signed a short way down Drove Road on the left. Drive through the gates into the car park.
If you are delivering donated goods to us, before Drove Road turn left into Manor Road and park near the Emmaus gates to our ‘goods in’ entrance on the right, ring the bell and we will come out to help you during opening hours - Tuesday to Saturday 10 to 4.30. Top of Page
b) From Brighton and further east use the A27 Brighton by-pass and leave on the A293 Hangleton Interchange marked ‘non-motorway traffic’ Shoreham & Portslade A270.
Follow this link road A293 to the first roundabout where you then turn right up Fox Way.

c) If you prefer to use the coast road A259, turn north in Portslade at the traffic lights up Church Road B2139. [On the Ordnance Survey map link from this page, the B2139 is the orange road running straight up from the coast road to the purple circle marking Emmaus.] This becomes Trafalgar Road. Continue north in the centre lane straight across the A270 Old Shoreham Road and up Locks Hill. Take first right into Manor Road, then first left, also called Manor Road. At the end turn left at the T junction into Drove Road. The Emmaus car park entrance is signed a short way down on your left. Top of Page
d) From Worthing and the west, leave the A27 before the Southwick tunnel at the Holmbush roundabout and follow the A270 for Portslade before turning left up Locks Hill at Tates Garage and take first right at the top into Manor Road and then first left, also Manor Road. At the end, on the left, are the gates to our ‘goods in’ entrance. There are clear signs. If you are delivering donated goods to us, park in Manor Road beside the gates, ring the bell and we will come out to help you during opening hours - Tuesday to Saturday 10 to 4.30.
