Emmaus Brighton & Hove Open Day & Summer Fair!

Saturday June 27th 10 am-4.30 pm at Emmaus Brighton & Hove Community, Drove Rd, Portslade, BN41 2PA

Bring your family & friends to a fun day of stalls, food, live entertainment - plus all the usual bargains in our Shops. Rain or shine, there will be something for everyone – it’s our 18th birthday year and the best yet:

ACTIVITIES

  • Guided “Talk & Tour” around our beautiful site. Starts 11.30 am outside the Emporium
  • Live music from Krypton
  • Make new feathered friends with Owls About Town
  • Pop-up Juggling class and mass juggle
  • The amazing Cascade Choir
  • Come and meet a Saxon warrior
  • Discover the universe with the Foredown Tower Astronomers
  • Robot relays for kids from Exploring Senses
  • Handmade crafts from Goodwill Co-op (teapot cosy, fabric)
  • We will once again be visited by our extra-terrestrial friend
  • Exhibition: There’s a monster in my painting!

FOOD & DRINK

  • The Revive at Emmaus BBQ
  • The Emmaus beach party: serving Ice creams, cold drinks and homemade lemonade
  • Homemade cakes, jams and Emmaus honey
  • Our café will be open and serving a reduced menu on the day


THE GREENHOUSE AT EMMAUS

Decorative planters, summer colour bedding plants and vegetable seedlings on sale in the Greenhouse shop and in the market place.

VINTAGE & RETRO

  • The emporium will be having a “Buy one get one free” on vintage and retro clothing
  • The carnival caravan will be hosting a Musial fayre with musical instruments, records, sheet music, and lots of Hawaiian shirts


Proceeds go towards supporting our community, which offers a home, work and training to formerly homeless men and women, and towards Emmaus International, supporting agricultural assistance and water programmes in other countries.
